The standard of the paper was good and comparable to those of previous years. The questions achieved good coverage of the syllabus. The rubrics were clear and concise while the marking scheme was flexible and very adequate. The performance of the candidates was slightly poorer than that of the previous year as can be inferred from the mean score of 17 and standard deviation of 10.10 compared with a mean score of20 and standard deviation of 10.77 for May/June 2007 W ASSCE.
