Weakness and Remedies
Candidates’ weaknesses include their inability to:
- express themselves in simple English Language
 - write correct spellings
 - write legibly
 - read the instructions carefully before answering the questions
 - define health record
 - explain birth rate and vital statistics
 - explain dilation stage
 - differentiate between pest and vector
 - state importance of roughage in diet
 - explain occupational hazard, industrial health services and rehabilitation
 - explain consumer health products
 - state importance of checking labels and expiry dates on products before purchase
 - explain orthodox medicine and faith healing.
 
The following remedies were suggested to overcome these weaknesses:
- candidates should use recommended textbooks
 - candidates should improve their handwriting
 - candidates should endeavour to cover the syllabus before the commencement of the examination
 - candidates should cultivate habit of reading
 - candidates should familiarize themselves with terms use in health education.
