 EXPLANATION OF TERMS IN RELATION TO BODY POSTURE

1. Kyphosis

This is an excessive curve of the spine between the shoulder blades producing a hump.  

1. Scoliosis

This is the lateral curvature of the spine in which the spine curves towards right or left.

1. Lordosis

This is a curve forward of the lower part of the spine causing a hollow in the lower back region.
