Observation
Many candidates attempted this question  and their performance was poor. In part(a) (i) many candidates could not correctly  explain consumer health products. In part (a)(ii) many candidates correctly stated  factors influencing choice of consumer products. In part (a)(iii) many  candidates could not correctly state importance of checking labels and expiry  dates on products before purchase. In part (b) majority of the candidates did  well it. In part (c) (i) and (ii) many candidates could not correctly explain orthodox  medicine and faith healing. 
However,  the expected answers are as follows:
(a)(i)   CONSUMER  HEALTH PRODUCT
    Consumer health product refers to  the quality/standard of goods and services that can 
    be  purchased by the consumer without  affecting/tampering with their health status.

 - brand/trade mark of the products

(iii)     IMPORTANCE  OF CHECKING LABEL AND EXPIRY DATE ON PRODUCTS
    BEFORE PURCHASE
- it gives information on the usage of product/safety/quality
 - it shows the brand/trade mark of the product
 - it also gives information about the components and content of the
 
product/potency
- it gives information about the address and location of the
 
manufacturer/company
- it gives information about the weight of the product
 - to avoid consumption of expired products/harm caused by food poisoning
 
(b)  QUACKERY
    Is the practice of dishonestly claiming  skill which one does not possess claim that a 
    products/goods has qualities that it does  not have.
(c)  EXPLANATION  OF TERMS IN RELATION TO CONSUMER HEALTH
    (i)  Orthodox Medicine
    It is a health care delivery system  whereby medical practionners such as doctor, nurses and other trained health  care professionals treat symptoms and diseases; using drugs, radiation,  surgery/and other scientific means.
    
    (ii)  Faith  Healing
    It is the believed that some  diseases can be cured by prayer if the healer and the sick
