Some candidates lack the basic rudiments of Clothing construction especially garment features like attachment of facing.
Candidates used hand with needle and thread to tack up their work instead of sewing machine.
Some wrote on the margins of their answer booklet..
Some candidates also answered more than the required number of questions.
Their weakness was also on drawing skills, many lacked drawing skills.
Most of the candidates’ could not differentiate between machine parts and machine accessories.

Teachers should teach candidates to start each question on a fresh page.
           
Candidates should be encouraged to use sewing machine very often so as to get used to it before the examination.
Teachers should pay more attention to the textile unit of the curriculum..
