This question was attempted by minority of the candidates and their performance in this question was less impressive. They were unable to use the activities of the contemporary society to relate to factors that can lead to popular participation and subsequently, its effects, dangers and consequences to a developing society. Points candidates missed out were:

Modern mode of popular participation refers to the contemporary way of citizen’s engagement in governmental decision making process, expression of views and election of their representatives in a democratic state.
