• Inability to give detailed answers.
• Poor knowledge of set texts.
• Writing of irrelevancies
• Inability to express answers in good English.

To remedy the observed weaknesses, the Chief Examiners recommended that:

• Candidates should buy and read the set texts.
• Candidates should not depend on key points and summary notes alone.
• Candidates should enrol in lesson centres.
• Candidates should always read the rubrics before answering questions.
