Observation

Candidates were requested to write the difference between Tone and Intonation.  They were also asked to tone-mark the above words.

The expected points were:
(a)Udaolu na-eme ka a mata ihe okwu putara na mkpoputa ya ma ndebeolu bu etu e siri debe olu kpoputa mkpuruokwu  ka o di uto na nti.
(b)  (i) ji

          (ii) nsògbú

          (iii) Àdá

          (iv) Ónyé óh­­i

          (v) Àlá Ìgbò   

Most candidates found it difficult to differentiate the terms appropriately.  Only few of them were able to tone mark the words correctly.
