Candidates’ weaknesses include their inability to:

• spell correctly
• write in simple English Language
• identify the illustrated diagrams
• mention ways in which the person can be infected by guinea worm
• name each stage of the life cycle of guinea worm in humans
• state ways of preventing guinea worm infestation
• guinea worm parts labelled
• state effects the worm illustrated has on humans
• state observable symptoms of the infested part with guinea worm
• explain the stated disorders of digestive system

The following remedies were suggested to overcome these weaknesses:-

• candidates should show more commitment in their studies
•  candidates should use recommend textbooks that covered wide range of the syllabus
• candidates should improve on spellings
