Observation

 

This question was equally popular as it attracted a vast percentage of the candidates. To majority of those who attempted it, their performances were incredible but did poorly in C. Additional points candidates could have given are

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Human trafficking is the illegal recruitment, transportation and harbouring of persons through threat, force or deception across domestic or international boundaries for commercial and other exploitative purposes such as forced labour, sexual slavery, hostage taking/kidnapping, etc.

 

STRATEGIES HUMAN TRAFICKERS USE IN THEIR ACTIVITIES

  1. Kidnapping/abduction of victims.
  2. Drugging of victims.
  3. Deception/false promises, e.g. seduction.
  4. Fraud.
  5. Subtle manipulations/persuasion/isolation.
  6. Baby factories.

 

CONSEQUENCES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING TO THE SOCIETY

  1. Untimely death of victims leading to shortage of manpower.
  2. Spreading of sexually transmitted diseases e.g. HIV/AIDS.
  3. Cheap labour leading to denial of jobs to eligible applicants.
  4. Increase in criminal activities. e.g. rape, prostitution, armed robbery, etc.
  5. Loss of opportunity to become trained and educated and useful to the society.
