Candidate's Weakness and Remedies
A SUMMARY OF CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES
The following weaknesses were observed from the candidates’ response:
- inability to state the purpose of sand blinding;
- failure to state the effect of too much water in a concrete mix;
- failure to state methods of protecting newly constructed substructural walls from
damage;
- Failure to state the function of roof members.
To overcome these weaknesses, candidates should be well exposed to:
- Habit of reading building text books, dictionariesfor the purpose of
their own study as well as their past question papers together with the
outlined examination syllabus;
