Most candidates were able to;
-        State three reasons for erecting a fence wall around a building;
-        list three basic materials used for the manufacture of fence wall gate.

However, majority of the candidates were not able to state three stages of landscaping a building compound involving planting of grass within a kerbed area.

The expected response to question 5 (b) is as given below:

Landscaping a Building Compound with Grass:

• Preparation of the kerbed area for planting grass
• Import and spread vegetables (black) soil within the kerbed area
• Dampen the soil with water
• Plant the grass in accordance with a predetermined pattern or design
• Wet the grass periodically to enable it survive the thrive
• Maintenance of the plants
