            A SUMMARY OF CANDIDASTES’ WEAKNESSES
Candidates’ weaknesses were shown in their inability to:

• sketch cold chisel and external angle trowel;
• state advantages of 3:4:5 method of setting out;
• sketch a section through a door opening and label lintel, jamb, and threshold;
• sketch partition and buttressing wall;
• sketch in section the tongued and grooved flooring board finish and ceramic tiled flooring finish.

To overcome these weaknesses:

• students should be guided on how to sketch different types of chisel and trowel;
• teacher should guide the students on methods of setting out and their advantages;
• students should be guided on how to sketch door openings and other sections;
• students should be guided on how to sketch partition and buttressing walls;
• students should be guided on how to sketch tongued and grooved flooring board and ceramic tiled flooring finish;
