6.(a)                 Functions Mr. Aremu is expected to perform as a storekeeper.
                        Mr Aremu would:

  1. count and grade of materials in the store;
  2. weigh and classify of items in the store;
  3. maintain clean store environment;
  1. receive and process store requisition forms;
  2. inspect materials to ensure it conforms with the specification;
  3. receive goods into the store;
  4. issue materials against proper authorization;
  5. prepare purchase requisition for materials replenishment;
  6. fix and monitor stock levels;
  7. ensure proper materials handling;
  8. secure the store from theft and pilfering;
  9. keep proper storage of materials and protect items from damages;
  10. conduct regular stock taking;
  11. prepare documents and updating records of stock items
  12. prepare reports on waste, scraps and obsolete materials in the store and send to the management.
