Observation
This question which is to identify the type of sleeve in the diagram labeled I, II, III, V, VI was not the area of the candidate’s strength. Almost all the candidates that attempted the question recorded poor performance. They do not understand the question; some cannot identify the different sketch of the sleeves.
They are supposed to identify it as:
- Raglan sleeve
- Leg of Mutton sleeve
- Puffed sleeve
- Straight sleeve flared at the edge/Bell shape sleeve
- Bishop sleeve
- Magyar sleeve/ Kimono or Dolman
In question 1(b), mention four ways of finishing the raw edges of garment clear and explicit, many of them attempted to answer them correctly and scored high marks .This candidates were able to write the different ways of finishing the edges of the garment correctly.
