Question 3

Question not Available.

OBSERVATION

Question 3 was not a popular question among the candidates and the few that attempted performed woefully. In 3a candidates candidates’ were unable to state the contributions of table appointments to meals though the question was straightforward and required answers such as whet the dinner’s appetite, beautify the table etc. Candidates further displayed their lack of in-depth knowledge of the topic in 3b, as they could only give spoons, cups, forks and knifes as examples of table appointments whereas other examples such as centre piece, crockeries, dinnerware, trays exists. One of the candidates’ weaknesses was 3c where they were required to state the sequential processes of washing up after clearing a table. The few candidates that attempted this question did not follow the sequence of washing up. Hence, this was a big weakness that needs to be addressed.
