Candidates’ Weaknesses

Candidates’ weaknesses are as follows: 

1. negligence of the necessary pep to enhance the design as required;
2. poor finishing of illustrations;
3. poor use of colours;
4. lack of knowledge of the mirror repeat design.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES TO OVERCOME CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

The weaknesses highlighted are better overcome though:

1. Candidates should endeavour to read to understand the various principles and elements of art to enable them answer questions effectively;
2. candidates must pay attention to details as finishing is an important aspect of design;
3. field trips should be made by schools to expose the candidates to the recent trends in art;
4. art teachers should continue to drill the candidates until they grasp art as if it were a part of them.
