The standard of the paper was Rood and compared favourably with those of the previous years The questions achieved good coverage of the syllabus and the demand of each of the
questions are well spelt out.
The rubics were clear and concise while the marking schemes were very comprehensive
The performance of the candidates was poorer than in the previous year given the raw mean score of 26 and a standard deviation of 08.83 with candidature 624645 as against the raw mean score of 19 and a standard deviation of 10.39 in the May/June 2011 WASSCE with candidature 562823,
The paper tested the following:

• Recall of facts
• Explanation/comprehension of concepts
• Application of facts/concepts in solving numerical problems
