Observation

 

 

This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was good. They did well in it. They were able to shots at targets marked around the football goalposts from the penalty spot.
However, the expected answers are as follows:

Activity 5:    shooting in football

Procedure:     candidate takes five shots at targets marked around the goalpost from the
penalty spot. Use the scale of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to score: body position, approach and    execution  as candidate performs the activity.

All performance will be judged according to following rubrics:

Body position
(I)         keep some distance to the ball
(II)        assume a comfortable stance
(III)      body aligns properly with ball
(IV)      focus on target
(V)       assume an erect position

Approach
(I)        take a short run/walk
(II)       keep eyes on the ball
(II)       maintain upright position
(IV)     maintain constant pace
(V)      maintain smooth movement

Execution
(I)        lean over the ball
(II)       apply adequate force
(III)      place the non-shooting leg beside the ball
(IV)     shoot with the appropriate part of the foot/explained
(V)      shooting leg is fully extended

Product Evaluation

The purpose is to measure ability to shoot marked targets around the goalpost. The goalpost is marked into specific target areas of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 as shown. The best of three trials is recorded as the score.
