Most candidates that attempted  this question performed poorly.  They did  not understand the range, character and level of each voice part in singing.  Rather than mentioning three Western  composers, most of the candidates mentioned indigenous composers.  All these made them to lose viable marks.
                    Candidates were expected to  respond to the question thus:

- Accent  – Articulation of notes with reference to meter, dynamics, Rhythms and pitch.
                    
                      
 - Folk song – Songs which are passed on orally from one  generation to another.  Traditional or  indigenous songs of unknown origin.
 
                    
                      - Breath Control – Technique of managing the breath for  fluency and meaningful singing.
 
                   
                      - Expression – The art of giving meaning to music, using  various performance techniques like dynamics, phrasing, pedaling and tempo.
