Candidates' Weaknesses
Some candidates failed to explain some of their answers in the Section B component of the question paper which required explanations. This made them lose precious marks. Topics like strip mining, reclamation and mining laws were poorly handled by some of the candidates. Poor sketch maps of Nigeria were drawn by some of the candidates.

Efforts should be made by candidates to explain concepts that require explanations. Good sketch maps should be drawn whenever required. Candidates should start reading for their examination on time so that they would fully cover the syllabus before the start of the examination.
