Candidates’ Weaknesses

A summary of the candidates’ weaknesses is given below:

1.    Poor use of mining vocabulary

         Some of the candidates were not yet familiar with mining terminology. Such                 candidates explained mining concepts using lay man registers.

1.    Inadequate explanation of points:

    A few of the candidates did not explain the points as expected of them. This led to the loss of precious marks.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

1.    Proper understanding of mining terminology

          Candidates are enjoined to read the recommended textbooks so that they would familiarize themselves with the terminology of mining.

1.    Adequate explanation of points

    Where required, candidates should adequately explain their points in order to obtain full marks.
