(a) Explanation of the following terms
- Fabric finish – This is special treatment given to fabric during
or after construction. This improves the appearance and quality of the fabric.
- Floor covering – These are special materials used for covering
the floor of a house e.g. mats, linoleum, carpets, rugs. They beautify the room and protect the floor.
(iii) Floor finish - It is a material with which a floor of a house is
made e.g. concrete, terrazzo etc. Different floor finish can be used for different rooms in the house.
(iv) Cleaning agent – A cleaning agent is any material capable of
removing dirt and stain from articles and
making them clean e.g. soap, water, detergent, bleaches.
