Weakness & Remedies
The observed weaknesses of the candidates this year include:
- illegible handwriting;
 - poor spellings of some technical terms e.g whooping cough, measles, diphtheria;
 - inability to explain endemic, epidemic and pandemic as required in question 6;
 - inability to follow sequential order of answer presentation for First aid administration in question 6;
 - using vague terms to present answers;
 - not providing full answers to some questions;
 - poor coordination of answers;
 - inability to identify the different parts of the tooth in question 3;
 - inability to define posture as expected.
 
The following remedies were proffered to overcome the weaknesses
Candidates should:
- cover the syllabus before sitting the examinations;
 - take the examination only after the completion of the senior secondary school;
 - study past questions and Chief Examiner’s Report;
 - improve on their spelling of technical terms;
 - study often and prepare ahead of exams;
 - read textbooks that have enough description of topics rather than key points;
 - study questions properly before answering them.
 
Teachers should:
      - use the syllabus as part of their  reference materials
      -  attend WAEC Coordination meetings so as to know more technical ways of  preparing candidates
