The standard of the paper compared favourably with the previous years. The questions were clearly itemized with the rubrics and also covered a wide range of the syllabus. The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.

The performance of the candidates was poorer than the previous year with a candidates population of  2,273 which had a raw mean score of 19 and standard deviation of 06.71 against a raw mean score of 18 and standard deviation of 07.35 for the November/December 2015 WASSCE which had a candidates population of 2,724.
