- On the graph paper provided, draw a temperature and rainfall graph of the station.
- Calculate:
- the total annual rainfall;
- the annual range of temperature.
- Suggest the climatic type represented by the station.
Observation
This was an unpopular question among the candidates and the performance of the few candidates that attempted the question was poor. Many of the candidates did not plot the rainfall and temperature graph correctly. The rainfall data were to be plotted using bar graph while the temperature of the station was to be plotted using a line graph super imposed on the bar graph. Quite a good proportion of the candidates who answered the question were able to correctly calculate the total annual rainfall and the annual range of temperature.
