Observation

 

 

This question was attempted by majority of the candidates and their performance was good. Some candidates however were discussing fishing items instead of stating the use of specimen A in marketing.

The expected answers are as follows: 

(a)        Use of specimen A (Cardboard box)

            -           For packaging of fish products
-           Transportation of fish / fish products
-           Display of fish / fish products

 

(b)        Materials that could be used in place of specimen A (Cardboard box)

            -           Can
-           Polythene bag
-           Jute bags/sack
-           Paper bags
-           Aluminium sheets / foil
-           Basket
-           Leaves
-           Plastic crates

(c)        (i)         Advantages of using Specimen A (Cardboard box)

-           It is light / not heavy
-           Not likely to cause damage or injury during handling
-           The material is easily biodegradable
-           Relatively cheaper to acquire
-           It can easily be branded or labelled
                        -           Relatively easy to put together
-           Not bulky / portable
-           Easy transportation
