1. Improper use of punctuation and diacritic marks where necessary;
2. Inability to write extensively on chosen topics. They wrote below the required 300 words
3. Inability to arrange points in logical sequence;
4. Poor mechanical accuracy;
5. Carelessness as regards the use of appropriate orthography

Suggested Remedies

1. Recommended text books should be made available to the students by their parents.
2. Qualified Ẹdo teachers should be employed.
3. Ẹdo language teachers should be encouraged to attend seminars to update their knowledge in the teaching of the subject.
