Candidates' Weakness

The Chief Examiner reported that candidates showed weakness in the following areas.

1. Wrong spelling of technical terms;
2. Poor presentation of answers;
3. Illegible handwriting;
4. Poor knowledge of relational database management system.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES

As a way of improving candidates’ performance, the Chief Examiner suggested that:

1. teachers should engage the students in hands-on activities regularly;
2. teachers should expose the students to glossary of words in all the application software recommended for teaching;
3. students should improve their practical skill in RDBMS by constant practice.
