(a) Many candidates did not answer the question well, which shows lack of practical skills.

(b) Candidates were busy describing how to use ordinary carbon paper instead of dress makers carbon. In the absence of dress makers carbon they should be taught how to smear wax crayon generously on white sheets of duplicating papers.

(c) Requirement for the various measurements

- waist – measure round natural waistline closely
- length of pair of trouser – from waist to hip to ankle or required length.
- Cloth – person to be measured must be seated then measure from waist over hip depth to seat where the individual is sitting.
