1. Poor grammatical expression of good points;
2. Lack of knowledge of the subject matter especially in Section C;
3. Misinterpretation of selected questions;
4. Bad and illegible handwriting;
5. Inadequate preparation for the examination by the candidates;
6. Sermonizing (preaching)/beating about the bush.

Suggested remedies for the weaknesses are as follows:

1. Candidates should cultivate the right study habit.
2. Candidates must possess and use a copy of the Revised Standard Version of the Holy Bible.
3. Candidates should read and understand the questions before attempting them.
4. Qualified graduate teachers should be employed to teach the subject.
5. Candidates should show greater commitment and interest in the subject.
