General Comments

The standard of the paper was good and compared favourably with those of previous years. The marking scheme was fair to the candidates and of good quality.

The performance of candidates this year was about the same as that of last year with a raw mean score of 11 and standard deviation of 5.48 when compared to a raw mean score of 11 and standard deviation of 5.10 for WASSCE for PC 2017. The total number of candidates that sat the examination was 87,372.
