According to the report, the major weaknesses were:

• Inability to recall and analysis parts of the starting system.

Suggested Remedies

To correct these weaknesses, it was suggested that:

• teachers should endeavour to expose candidates more to practical activities, laying emphasis on the charging and lighting system.
• Efforts should be made to familiarize candidates with the essential parts and terminologies during teaching and learning process with emphasis on starting systems.
