Part 2 Question 4

Write briefly about HāfisIbrahim’s poetic life, exemplifying two lines of his poem:  “The Arabic Language mourns its fortune among its people” This question was the least answered by the candidates for this examination probably because most of them were not familiar with the text.  The few candidates who chose the question must have been those who actually read the text because they were able to write about the life of the poet, candidates’ performance was averagely well.
