Candidate's Weakness

The weaknesses of the candidates as noted were in the following areas:

1. inability to spell words properly;
2. poor knowledge of Ibibio phonology; and
3. poor knowledge of Ibibio grammar.

Suggested Remedies

1. Students should learn how to spell words properly.
2. Teachers should ensure that they expose the students to the Ibibio phonology.
3. Teachers should always give the students exercises on spelling and written compositions.
4. Teachers should ensure that they give students enough exercises on Ibibio grammar.
5. Teachers should also expose the students to the approved Ibibio orthography.
