ESSAY WRITING

Question 1

 

  1. Yadda ake yin tuwon dawa.
  2. Ranata ta farko a makarantar kwana.
  3. Muhimmancin albashi mai tsoka ga ma’aikata.
  4. Rubuta wasiƙa zuwa ga Editan jaridar Amimiya, ka roƙe shi ya ba ka fili, ka bayyana gudunmuwar da matasa za su bayar wajen gina ƙasa.
  5. Barewa ba ta gudu ɗanta ya yi rarrafe.

 

Observation

 

  1. Yadda ake yin tuwon dawa.

This is a descriptive essay which required candidates to write on how to prepare tuwon dawa ( a local food made with sorghum). In doing so, they were expected to demonstrate all the processes of preparing the food step by step and observe the features of essay writing as well. The following features and points should be considered as relevant:
Gabatarwa:
Bayani a kan tuwo;
Abinci ne gama-gari;
Cimar talaka da mai kuɗi;
Ire-iren tuwo.
                        Gundarin jawabi:
Tanadin garin dawa;
Tanadin kayan girki;
Ɗora sanwa;
Dame;
Ruɗe/talge;
Tuƙa tuwo;
Kwashe tuwo;
Zuba ruwa a tukunya.
Kammalawa:
Yin taƙaitaccen bayani a kan abubuwan da aka tattauna a kai.

 

Candidates’ performance in this question was commendable.

 

(b) Ranata ta farko a makarantar kwana.

The is a narrative essay and candidates were required to write on their first day in a boarding school. Candidates were expected to reflect on their experience and observe the following features and points:
Gabatarwa:
                                    Bayanin makarantar kwana;
                                    Sha’awa ko rashin sha’awar makarantar;
                                    Sunan makaranta da garin da take.

                        Gundarin jawabi:
                                    Rana da lokaci;
                                    Ajin da aka shiga;
                                    Ɗalibai da malaman da aka fara haɗuwa da su;
                                    Abinci;
Ɗakin kwana;
                                    Ayyukan da aka gudanar a wannan rana;
                                    Abin sha’awa ko ban-tsoro a wannan rana;
                                    Baƙunci da kaɗaici da kewar gida.

                        Kammalawa:
Yin taƙaitaccen bayani a kan abubuwan da ba za a iya mantawa ba.


Candidates that attempted the question performed well.

 

(c)  Muhimmancin albashi mai tsoka ga ma’aikata.

The question is an expository essay. It required candidates to write on the importance of substantial salary for workers. In attempting the question, the candidates were expected to observe all the features of essay writing and the following points should be reflected and considered as relevant.        
Gabatarwa:
            Bayanin albashi;
                        Lokacin biyan albashi;
                        Matsalar ƙarancin albashi.

            Gundarin jawabi:
                        Samar da kwanciyar hankali;
                        Ƙara ƙwazon aiki;
                        Sha’awar yin aiki;
                        Samun biyan buƙata;
                        Tabbatar da bin dokar aiki;
                        Kawar da cin hanci da rashawa;
                        Haɓaka tattalin arziƙi;
                        Kawo ci gaban ma’aikata;
                        Wanzar da zaman lafiya a cikin ƙasa;
                        Ƙarfafa zumunci da taimako.

            Kammalawa:
                        Kawo taƙaitaccen bayani.
Many candidates attempted the question and their performance was good.


(d)        Rubuta wasiƙa zuwa ga Editan jaridar Amimiya, ka roƙe shi ya ba ka fili, ka bayyana gudunmuwar da matasa za su bayar wajen gina ƙasa.
This is letter writing. Candidates were required to write a letter to the Editor of Aminiya (newspaper)requesting for a column to write on the contributions of the youth in nation building. The following features of letter writing and points should be reflected:

 

            i.    Sigar Wasiƙa:        
Adireshin mai rubutu;
Kwanan wata;
Adireshin wanda aka rubuta wa;
Sallamar buɗewa (Zuwa ga);
Taken wasiƙa;
Sallamar rufewa (Ni ne/ Ni ce/ Daga);
Suna da sa hannun mai rubutu.

 

ii.   Gundarin Wasiƙa:
Bayanin rukunin matasa;
Jajircewa wajen neman ilimi;
Kyawawan ɗabi’u;
Aiki tuƙuru;
Biyayya da gaskiya;
Kishin ƙasa da kare mutuncinta;
Samun abin yi;
Dogaro da kai;
Tabbatar da gaskiya da adalci;
Girmama nagaba/shugabanni;
Taimakon kai da kai;
Kafa ƙungiyoyin ci gaba;
Guje wa tu’ammali da miyagun ƙwayoyi;
Taka rawar gani a fannoni da ɓangarorin rayuwa daban-dabam.

 

                        iii.   Sallamar rufewa:
                                    Sallama (Ni ne/Ni ce/daga);
                                    Suna;
                                    Sa hannu.

                           Many candidates attempted the question and their performance was commendable.


(e)        Barewa ba ta gudu ɗanta ya yi rarrafe.
The question is proverbial which says A deer doesn’t run and her baby crawls In attempting the question, the candidates were expected to state the meaning of the proverb, give examples of similar proverbs and narrate a story that will describe the proverb. The following points should be reflected and considered as relevant. 


Gabatarwa:

i.   Ma’anar karin magana:

Karin maganar yana nufin cewa a kullum ana  zaton idan iyaye sun haihu, ’ya’yan za su tashi da halaye ko ɗabi’u irin nasu. Idan iyayen mutanen kirki ne, ’ya’yansu su zama na kirki ko akasin hakan.


ii.  Karin magana kwatankwacin wannan:
Kyawun ɗa, ya gaji ubansa.
A san mutum, a san cinikinsa.
Ɗan giwa, giwa ne.
Kowane tsuntsu, kukan gidansu yake yi.
Kowane allazi, da nasa amanu.
Harbi ga ɗan jaki, gado ne.
Kowa ya ci zomo, ya ci gudu.
Kamar kumbo kamar kayanta.
Kowa ya sayi rariya, ya san za ta zubar da ruwa.
Banza ba ta rogo, in ba jira a sha danga.

Gundarin jawabi:
Kawo labarin da zai dace da karin maganar.

            Kammalawa:
Yin taƙaitaccen bayani game da dacewar labarin da ma’anar karin maganar.
Few candidates attempted the question and their performance was fair.
