Candidates' Weakness

From the performance of the candidates, not many of them prepared for the paper. The main weaknesses observed are:

1. Lack of understanding of the basics, basic principles, theories and their applications.
2. Lack of exposure through assignments, tutorials and practice.
3. Lack of appropriate units or incorrectly stated units for calculations  
4. Little sign of any form of very serious preparation for the paper.

(b)       Suggested Remedy

The remedy for the above weaknesses is to:

1. expose the candidates to the basics, principles and theories of this subject and their applications by engaging qualified and well-motivated teachers
2. give assignments, tutorials and practice questions to the students and to grade/mark them.
3. candidates should be reminded on the importance of unit in calculations.
4. prepare for the paper and endeavour to practice very well
