Most of the candidates who attempted this question performed well. The weakness recorded in the question is that some candidates were unable to state ways of youth empowerment can be promoted in the society.

B. Factors that promote youth  empowerment in the society

• Good leadership.
• Responsible/accountable governance.
• Societal value/positive value cultivation, such as dignity of labour, self-reliance, work ethics, etc.
• Existence of good empowerment schemes/programmes.
• Ease of access to opportunities, schemes, programmes, etc on youth empowerment in the society.
• Sustainable population growth/size.
