One major weakness identified was candidates’ inability to make appropriate deductions from context-based questions.
(b)       Suggested Remedies

It was suggested that candidates should be exposed to:

• series of practical sessions to familiarize them with motor vehicle batteries, its parts and principle of operation;
• the various causes of faults and their effects on the operation of a motor vehicle battery;
• visit of tradesmen workshop, this will put meaning into theoretical knowledge acquired.
