Candidate's Strength

Majority of the candidates were able to:

• state the reasons why government should enact laws to regulate the use of land for agriculture;
• give reasons for using mechanical power for tillage operations;
• list machines that are used in processing crops after harvesting;
• define monocropping, mixed cropping, mixed farming and crop rotation;
• state the advantages of introducing legumes in a pasture;
• state the effects of malnutrition on farm animals;
• mention the nursery practices in the production of tomato;
• list the print media that could be used to disseminate information about a new variety of maize to farmers.
