Candidate's Strength

          Majority of the candidates were able to:

• explain why agriculture is regarded as the bedrock of the economy of West Africa;
• mention farm operations which require the use of electrical power;
• state the disadvantages of using electrical power for farm operations;
• mention farm tools used in pruning ornamental plants;
• give examples of grain legumes and spices;
• state the problems associated with irrigation in West Africa;
• mention the ways by which plant nutrients are lost from the soil.
