The following weaknesses were discovered from the candidates' responses to the given
question:
Inability to differentiate among various chisels.
Inability to know on which machines bridge guard and push block are found.
They were unable to describe template workshop rod and cutting list as used in
Woodwork.
Inability to state the uses of veneering tools such as toothing plane and veneer
hammer.
Lack of knowledge of the different types of shake.
To overcome these weaknesses, more assignments which will test those weaknesses
listed above should be given to students. Also, students should visit standard Woodwork
shops.
