Some candidates exhibited the following strengths: 
(1)        Strong shading techniques
Few candidates demonstrated dexterity in shading. They were able to use shading (in graded tones) to indicate the source of light, show contrast between the objects as well as between the objects and the background.
(2)        Accurate depiction of objects

Some candidates were able to render their objects and figure accurately and proportionally. The quality of the lines and drawing of these candidates were high. This class of candidates demonstrated experience that could only have resulted from constant practice of drawing
