The paper compared favourably with the previous years.  The questions covered the syllabus sufficiently and they were clearly stated; with the diagrams conforming to standard drawing codes.  Also, the marking schemes were judicious and mark distribution was fair.

Candidates’ performance showed a slight decline compared to the previous years.
