The standard of the paper was commendable and commensurate with candidates academic ability in comparison with the previous years.

The paper was devoid of any form of ambiguity and the marking scheme was appropriate and well furnished with details.

However, candidates’ performed below standard in respect of knowledge of prescribed texts, compared to the previous years.

The candidates continued to display their inability to critical skills of literary appreciation to the texts and questions as required.
