The standard of the paper was of quality  and compared favourably with those of previous years.   The rubrics were clear and the questions were straightforward, specific  and spread  to cover a wide range of the  syllabus.  The marking scheme was  detailed and flexible with adequate distribution of marks.
                    The performance of the candidates was  poor than that of the previous year given the raw                     mean score of 30 and standard deviation  of 15.07 for the candidates population of 2692 as  against the raw mean score of 33 and  standard deviation of 15.39 for the candidates population of 3121 for November/December 2008 WASSCE.
