The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of the previous years. The questions were spread across every section of the syllabus and were set using simple language. None of the questions was ambiguous and the rubrics were clear. The marking scheme adequately covered the demands of the questions.

The candidates' performance was better than that of the previous year.
