GENERAL COMMENTS ON THE PAPER AS A WHOLE

The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years. The rubrics were clear, straight forward and unambiguous. The questions were well structured and achieved a wide coverage of the examination syllabus. The marking scheme was flexible and fair to the candidates. The performance of candidates was comparatively the same as that of last year, considering the mean score 16 and standard deviation of 07.87 against a mean score of 16 and standard deviation of 08.89 for the November/December 2012 WASSCE.
