.    GENERAL COMMENTS ON THE PAPER AS A WHOLE

        The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of
        previous years.  The rubrics were clear.  The questions were well framed  
        unambiguous and within the scope of the syllabus.  The marking scheme was
        detailed, exhaustive and flexible.

        The performance of the candidates was slightly poorer than that of the previous year
        comparing the mean score of 22 and standard deviation of 9.38  with the mean
        score of 28 and standard  deviation of  11.66 for the Nov/Dec 2011 WASSCE.
