SUMMARY OF CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

The candidates, however, could not adequately answer the questions asked on:

-           advantages of alternator over generator in power generation;
-           the importance of valve clearance;
-           operating principle of a four-stroke cycle spark ignition engine;
-           steering geometry;
-           overtake in driving and
-           the layout of hydraulic braking system.

 SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING THE WEAKNESSES

Candidates are advised not to skip any part of the syllabus when preparing for the examination. They are urged to carefully study all the questions asked them before attempting any.
